Why a normal GPS is dangerous in an RV

They will happily send a 13-foot-tall fifth wheel under an 11-foot railroad bridge, down a switchback forest road, or over a mountain pass with a 10% grade — because they have no idea what you're driving. How EZRV's rig-profile routing works

• Truck-grade routing engines. Routes are calculated with commercial routing that respects legal height, weight, and length restrictions — the same class of data trucking fleets rely on — not car routing with an RV skin.
• A built-in height safety margin. EZRV automatically adds 6 inches to your stated height before routing. Posted clearances are often stale, repaved roads sit higher than their signs, and A/C units are easy to mismeasure. The margin absorbs those errors.
• Low-clearance exclusion and double-checking. Known low-clearance structures are excluded during route calculation, and the finished route is re-scanned for clearance conflicts — a second, independent check before you ever see turn-by-turn directions.
• Steep-grade warnings. EZRV analyzes elevation along your route and flags sustained steep grades in advance, so you know where you'll want lower gears, cooler brakes, and a slower plan — before you're on the hill.
• Community-reported problem roads. Roads that real RVers report as unsafe or misleading are added to a curated avoid list, so routing improves for everyone.
