An RV-Safe GPS That Actually Knows Your Rig

EZRV Travel is an RV-safe GPS and navigation app for iOS, Android, and the web. Unlike a car GPS, every route EZRV builds is calculated against your specific rig profile — height, weight, length, and whether you carry propane — so it steers you away from low bridges, weight-restricted roads, and routes that were never meant for a motorhome or trailer.

The short answer: EZRV routes RVs using commercial truck-grade routing costed to your rig's dimensions, adds a 6-inch safety margin on top of your stated height, excludes known low-clearance structures, and then re-checks the final route for clearance conflicts before you drive it.

Why a normal GPS is dangerous in an RV

Google Maps, Apple Maps, and Waze route you as if you were driving a car. They will happily send a 13-foot-tall fifth wheel under an 11-foot railroad bridge, down a switchback forest road, or over a mountain pass with a 10% grade — because they have no idea what you're driving. Bridge strikes and "the GPS sent me here" recovery calls are among the most common (and most expensive) RV incidents.

Navigation features

More than navigation

The same rig profile powers a full RV trip planner — daily driving limits, overnight stops, fuel cost estimates with live diesel prices at nearly 3,000 truck stops, and campground discovery covering every recreation.gov campground plus tens of thousands of public and private parks, with in-app booking at 1,600+ of them.

What it costs

EZRV is free to download and free to use as a trip planner, including printable turn-by-turn directions. Voice-guided navigation, CarPlay/Android Auto, trip sharing, custom checklists, and weight-and-safety tools are part of EZRV Pro: $9.99/month or $74.99/year, with a 7-day free trial.
