Who Builds EZRV, and Why

EZRV Travel is not a venture-funded startup with a marketing department. It's one family in Texas: my name is Gavin Reaves, I write the code, I answer the support email, and my wife and daughter are the first people who hear about every change before it ships.

Why I built an RV-safe GPS

Google Maps, Apple Maps, and Waze route you like you're driving a Camry. They have no idea you're 13 feet 6 inches tall, 26,000 pounds, 40 feet long, and carrying propane. So they will send you under a railroad bridge that's two inches shorter than your A/C unit, down a switchback forest road you cannot turn around on, or over a pass with a 10% grade and a truck behind you.

Every RVer I know has a version of the same story, and it always starts with the same sentence: "the GPS sent me here." The fix isn't complicated — it's just tedious, and nobody had done it in a way a normal person could afford. Route against the rig's real dimensions. Add a safety margin on top of the stated height, because posted clearances go stale and repaving raises the road. Re-check the finished route before anyone drives it. Then keep going: which campsites that rig actually fits in, what the diesel costs along the way, how long the day really is.

That's the whole product. I built it because I wanted my own family to be able to leave on a Friday without me spending Thursday night cross-referencing bridge databases on a laptop.
